The Youth Service aims to provide Liverpool's young people with as many opportunities as possible to bring enrichment to their lives. They place particular emphasis on securing services for those young people who have had least benefit from the education system. LYS provide a variety of programmes and opportunities that are either educational or recreational in nature. Mobile Movies is collaborating with young people who benefit from the Liverpool Youth Service (LYS) from the following areas of Liverpool; Everton, Kirkdale, Kensington, Dingle and Fairfield.

Powerhouse Foyer Federation

 

Powerhouse Foyer Federation in Liverpool

An award winning inner city housing and training facility for young people, Liverpool’s Foyer Federation Powerhouse was commissioned by Riverside Housing Association to offer accommodation and training to some fifty-two young people in the Liverpool wards of Granby and Toxteth. It provides opportunities and advocacy to young people who are at risk to escape the ‘no job-no home-no job cycle’ and offer them the opportunity for shelter, support and a springboard to independent living.

Irish Community Care and the Tara Park Irish Traveller Community

 

Irish Community Care Merseyside and the Tara Park Irish Traveller Community 

Irish Community Care is a registered charity dedicated to promote the welfare and inclusion of the Irish Community throughout Merseyside. The Irish Traveller Community has been present in Liverpool for 20 years, and is based around Liverpool and in the Tara Park site in Liverpool City Centre.

Irish Community Care support young people from the entire Irish community and the Irish Traveller Community to ensure they benefit from local youth services, educational and cultural activities in the area.

Liverpool Refugee Action

 

Liverpool Refugee Action

Refugee Action has over 20 years experience in the reception, resettlement, development and integration of asylum seekers and refugees. Young asylum seekers are one of the most vulnerable groups in Britain today. Liverpool Refugee Action has worked with up to 300 young asylum seekers to help isolated young people who have experienced trauma and persecution in their own countries to settle into life in Liverpool. Liverpool Refugee Action works with young people though the Get Connected programme which creates opportunities for community engagement, personal development and advocacy.

UK Youth Parliament: North West

 

UK Youth Parliament: North West region

The UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) enables young people to use their energy and passion to change the world for the better. Run by young people for young people, UKYP provides opportunities for 11-18-year-olds to use their voice in creative ways to bring about social change. UKYP was launched at the House of Commons in July 1999, and held its first Sitting in February 2001 in London.  There are currently over 500 elected MYPs (Members of Youth Parliament) and Deputy MYPs who represent both young men and women, including young people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, and with physical and learning disabilities. ICDC is collaborating with the North West UKYP which works with local authorities and young people from the following areas:  Blackburn - Darwen - Blackpool - Bolton - Bury - Cheshire - Cumbria - Halton -  Knowsley MBC - Lancashire - Liverpool - Manchester - Oldham - Rochdale - Salford - Sefton - St Helens - Stockport - Tameside - Trafford - Warrington - Wigan - Wirral
